Library CatalogueThe University of Adelaide Library Catalogue is a catalogue for the 5 University of Adelaide Libraries, comprising the Barr Smith Library, Law, Music, Waite and Roseworthy (Agricultural sciences) Libraries. The Catalogue is essentially a reference database to locate print material held in the collections, and electronic or web based resources to which we have access, including:
Searching the Catalogue for an Online JournalThe Catalogue offers a number of ways to search, such as by title, keyword, author, call number and subject, with search delimiters which allow you to restrict your search to electronic resources, or to the Law Libarry collection, etc. For furthaer guidance with searching the Catalogue, click on the Help button at the top of the screen, or view one of the online Library Skills Tutorials. If you know the title of the journal you seek:

These represent four different database platforms which offer the full text contexnt of the Modern Law Review, for the year spans indicated. Journal coverage may vary significantly from one database platform to another. Selecting any of the links will take you directly to the database. For example: if we select the Blackwell Synergy link we will see the following screen. From here you can browse the journal by volume and issue number, or you can search the journal for author or title. To return to the catalogue at any time, just exit the database or use the browser 'back' navigation button.
There are many different databases to which you will have access as students of the University of Adelaide. These databases will look different from one database platform to another, however the most basic search options are usually the same and will include:
If you do not know the names of the relevant journals for your topic try a keyword search using a term which relates to your topic and adding 'periodicals'. For example: torts and periodicals entered as a Keyword search (search engine style) might yield the following results (see image below).
