EUR-Lex
EUR-Lex, hosted by Europa, is the portal to the official European Community law and contains : the Official Journal L series (legislation) and C series (information, preparatory acts and notices) ; Treaties, annexes and protocols ; legislation including regulations, directives, decisions, instruments, statutes, rules of procedure, opinions, recommendations and Council resolutions : legislation in preparation ; caselaw ; parliamentary questions ; and other documents including white papers, green papers, communications and reports.

The search engine is basic boolean. More advanced searching of the legislation, caselaw and treaties databases can be done via Celex (password to be obtained from the Law Librarian).

Europa
Europa is the portal site of the European Union and provides current coverage of EU affairs, legislation in force or in progress, access to websites of all the EU instituions, EU policies as determined by treaty.

Europa : a Constitution for Europe

European Court of Justice
Caselaw of the ECJ available from June 1997 in addition to other resources including reports monitoring the application of EC law by national courts, entitled "judicial cooperation".

European Private Law : Ius commune
Hosted by the University of Southampton, this website is a good launch point for research on European private law.
