Scholarships

Application forms for the following scholarships are available at the Law School Front Office or can be downloaded below.

Please note that students can also apply for general scholarships offered by the University. Please contact the Scholarships Office or go to http://www.adelaide.edu.au/scholarships/undergrad/

 

The Dame Roma Mitchell Scholarship

The Dame Roma Mitchell scholarship is in the memory of one of Australia's leading advocates of human rights. It has been set up to assist students who are undertaking the Human Rights Internship Programme at Adelaide University Law School.

The scholarship is worth $3000 and is awarded once a year on the basis of academic merit, financial need and community involvement. The award may be split between two candidates of each merit.

Applications are due 2pm, Friday 30th October 2009 and must be handed in at the Law School Front Office (interviews are likely to take place at the end of the following week.) Only students studying at Adelaide University Law School are eligible to apply.

 

The Law Foundation Scholarships

The Law Foundation of South Australia has generously donated two scholarships to assist students undertaking human rights internships in 2009/2010.

One scholarship (valued between $3,515 and $5,050) will be awarded to a student undertaking an international internship. Another scholarship (worth $1,980) may be awarded for a student undertaking a national internship.

Both scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic credit and community involvement.

Applications are due at 2pm, Friday 30th October 2009 and must be handed in at the Law School Front Office. Only students study at Adelaide University Law School are eligible to apply.

The Fisher Jeffries Scholarship

Fisher Jeffries Barristers and Solicitors generously donated a scholarship (value $1000) to assist Adelaide University Law students enrolled in the Human Rights Internship Programme in 2007.
