Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice

The Law Society of South Australia's (LSSA) GDLP Course is an accredited course that meets the PreAdmission Practical Legal Training requirements for admission in South Australia. The University of Adelaide and the Law Society have an agreement which allows students to undertake the GDLP during the final 2 semesters of the LLB.

Application Procedure for Pre Admission Practical Legal Training

Students are permitted to commence GDLP at the beginning of their penultimate semester.

Students can normally obtain a copy of the GDLP Handbook with enrolment forms enclosed from the Front Counter of the Law School.
Please note that students are required to adhere to the timetable approved by the Legal Practitioners Education and Admission Council (LPEAC) on the basis that sufficient academic grounding must be achieved before the practical requirements for admission are commenced.

Students may not have outstanding any core subjects other than Legal Ethics, Law of Evidence and/or Introduction to Advocacy.
